shots worth sharing
Good morning, folks! I've been saving these shots for the POV so I guess I'll kick things off. First, a plant shot with lascivious appeal.<div></div>

shots worth sharing
I love the elephant, Markus. The low contrast treatment of Miss Piggy isn't particularly flattering but has a distinct impact. I'm also thinking I'd crop some of the top on that one. And how about some lipstick ;~)
markus maurer
Thanks Dave for the critique on Miss piggy, I will try again with other brightness & contrast settings but as we meanwhile all know a pig remains a pig even with lipstick put on! mcmanamey
Hin - PS, I love how sharp the bride is in the b&w pic. Very pretty.
hinman
Maria, thanks again. I have the on-going edits in this slideshow. It is my very first wedding shots with Pentax dSLR. The couple is a good friend of mine. I almost want to run away with the bride but my sweetheart is there. I was not asked to be a photographer, not even as a backup, but I jump the chance with no pressures except to let the main photographers do their jobs. I respect them for their profession and the important job at hands for my two dear friends in the wedding
le-plume
For once I've got pictures that are not weeks or months old, because they were at the beginning of a film that stayed in the camera for a while... We went out last Sunday for a walk in the neighborhood, carrying the baby in a scarf, and we noticed that a engraving and printing workshop was open to visitors. Luckily enough I had my MX around my neck (well, under my shoulder really, wouldn't want it to bang the baby's face!) with an appropriate lens for indoor shooting and a few shot left on a HP5+ roll.<div></div>
le-plume
If you want to print, you'll need ink of course - but a press might come in handy, too...<div></div>
le-plume
...but mostly, what you'll need is a printer: here is the workshop owner showing the way to ink a plate. The trick is mostly to un-ink it, so that the ink will stay only in the engraved lines; the unaltered copper surfaces have to be absolutely spotless. I'm sure I would make an absolute mess of it if I were to try. Better stick to photography. (This workshop is located in the Villa Lavoir, near rue Bouchardon, Paris 10th. Unfortunately I didn't write down the name.)<div></div>

snik75
Hin - you should have his job! Although running off with the brides, I think that is against the rules. Christophe, those are lovely, especially of the printer. Markus, I agree about maybe a square crop on Ms. Piggie. The elephant looks neat, I'd love to ride that carousel. There's an old one here at Circus World Museum that goes much faster than seems safe. Dave those are both great, but I prefer the color shot. Good shooting, all!
