darryl_roberts1
The Linhof page says use TK lenses on the TECHNIKARDAN S 45, but will my Fuji 90mm/5.6 work? Advanced thanks/respect, Darryl
obakesan
don't see why not ... its a fat lens though. BTW ... what's the 5.6 like?
brucecahn
Yes. The Linhof literature says it will go down to 48mm with a wide angle bellows. You can use any large format lens with any large format camera if it physically fits on the camera, is within the focusing range of that camera and you have the right lensboard. michael_briggs2
The Technikardan TK45S uses Technika lensboards, which are reasonably small field-sized lensboards. On the back of the lensboard there is a circular boss which matches a hole in the camera -- this combination functions as a light trap. The diameter of the hole in the camera is over 82 mm -- there are a very small number of lenses which won't fit on the Technikardan because of this. The most common lens which is a problem is the 90 mm Schneider Super-Angulon-XL. The current version has a protective ring that can be removed so that the lens can be used, but this leaves the rear element rather exposed. The first version won't fit. From a Fujinon brochure, the rear diameter of the 90 mm f5.6 Fujinon SWD is 80 mm, so it should just fit the Technikardan. I don't know exactly the exact model lens that you have, so it would be best for you to measure the actual lens that you have.
darryl_roberts1
It's a Fujinon SWD 1:5.6/90. Chris - I like it a lot. Michael, when I received the lens, won on ebay, it was on a small Technika board, I removed it and put it on a larger Cambo board.
ed_lee5
Hi Darryl.... I use a 90mm/f4.5 Caltar IIN on my Technikarden; it, too is a fat lens, but it fits with no problem and is even usable with some movement with the standard bellows. Incidentally, out of the five lenses that I have none are Linhof.
darryl_roberts1
Thank you Ed.
michael_briggs2
The Fuji lens that I looked up was a 90 mm f5.6 SWD, so your lens should have an 80 mm rear diameter, which will fit. Of course, you can always measure your lens.
