Well, it's past midnight on the east coast of the US.

I don't feel entirely comfortable starting this thread as I am a newbie Pentaxian and a newbie DSLR user, but here

goes.

I didn't have anything uptil today when I went, yes, fishing. NO fish pics as I have promised more than once before.

Actually, this is a don't do as I do kind of thing such as: don't take pics while driving the car.

This weekend is the annual Adirondack Ballonfest here in the northeast. I did not attend but as I was driving home

form the trout stream the balloons were popping up and here and there and here is my roadside take.<div>00Qv2y-72371684.jpg.50aae6689371ccabb4fbef1cd4f97231.jpg</div>

These I shot with my ME SUPER and Generic ISO200 film...This was my first attempt at shooting a proper duck shot with film. Not so good, but I have an idea for next time...

This seems like the place to confess my ever more frequently manifesting 'photographing while driving' addiction.. and like Javier I guess I will go ahead and double dip into the dualing POW threads.. :-D

Taken yesterday with my p&s after work through my sunroof on the freeway while going about 75mph..<div>00Qv4U-72379584.jpg.6a621569c4f1afa1cbc78e090579d263.jpg</div>

Wow - 2 POW threads and both posted within a minute of each other. I didn't know which one to post on so I chose the most recent.

Markus - love the bike in BW.

Haig - Dueling Pelicans is a keeper, maybe you could photoshop on a mask and one could be Zoro. Nice capture.

Ben - Orange fungus? Yummy.

Javier - great duck shot, nice ripples in the water.

Todd - pretty good for the speed, too bad SR couldn't help.

Bob - Absolutely love, love, love the balloon sunset. Simply superb.

Here are 2 quick shots from me:<div>00QvFa-72453584.jpg.67138caea30151fde23c3836f7409c3f.jpg</div>

love the balloon sunset, the pelicans, and the flowering field so far..

Duane, yeah the Canon (sd870is) p&s has image stabilization, but my problem is the closer the planes get to being

overhead through my sunroof, the more excited I get and it gets exponentially more difficult because I am also

trying to speed up or slow down to time it right... Here was another passerby through the sunroof from a few

weeks ago..

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmphillips/2817607945/" title="frontier overhead"><img

overhead" /></a>

<br>

ok and one more silly shot from a few weeks ago, a self portrait of sorts.. (like I said, I am an addict):

Thanks Javier - sorry to disappoint but it's digital. K100D Super, Jpeg (sorry not even RAW), Aperture Priority,

DA 50-200mm @ 50mm, F8, 1/350 sec. My daughter wanted to edit it while playing in Picasa (it's her editing

software of choice - easy for a 9 year old). Emily sharpened it and applied a warming filter because she liked it

better that way - I agree the light is much better after her filter choice.

Todd - the planes are cool but I'd love to see some more shots with that new FA 50mm you've recently started

using. The last set was pretty darn good.
