thomas_graichen
hi, does anyone know what do i have to disassemble to get the front plate off on a rolleiflex 2.8e? do i have to disassemble any of the knobs (self timer etc.) or is it just the typical four screws like on a rolleicord? i need to get it off to recalibrate the viewing lens for a new ground glass. a lot of thanks in advance and best wishes - thomas
richard_oleson
You have to remove the thingies around the shutter release and the flash socket. Email me and I'll send you a sketch. Are you SURE you have to do this? My sketch will show you the lens adjustment too, I send this out with my screens - but as far as I know NOBODY has ever used it. In both of my Rolleis the screen just dropped in and focused OK; I include a couple of little plastic spacers (actually strips of DYMO label tape) that are occasionally necessary... it's a lot quicker and easier than adjusting the viewing lens. It's definitely worth trying first before you start taking things apart.
