tonysvision
Wow! This probably belongs in the Philosophy of Photography section. Galen Rowel, who was of the "A photograph is a single instant in time" ilk, (and whose work and words have greatly inspired me) is likely rolling in his grave. I'm not sure what I think about this one yet, but I'm more like, "A photograph is an expression of what we perceive". Thanks for passing on this food for thought, Peter. User_503771
An old concept with a new name. Combining different shots ... "shutter blending"?
jay a. frew
While I think Mr Pearson did a very fine job of illustrating his vision, for me, this is an "illustration"...not a photograph. When I first viewed this image I immediately asked myself - what is wrong with this picture? The elements are too disconnected. It is too obvious, to me at least, that the elements in this image seemed to have been "pulled" from different photographs/times/places. They do not fit together. Just my (no background in art appreciation) opinion... Cheers! Jay
r_johnston
Well I do have a background in art appreciation and 72 years experience as a photographer and a fine artist, (Mostly painting in oils) but have the same opinion.
15sunrises
That rock in the back looks like it was copied and pasted in there because of the effect. I think that this could probably end up being used properly somewhere, but in this particular image, it just looks tacky to me.

Tim_Lookingbill
Looks like it was shot in a vacuum or constructed from miniatures. CGI'ed reality? On a positive note love those colors!
