drolo
Hi people, can anyone tell me, if there is an upper size limit of CF card storage to be used in a Canon 5D? Thanks for your help
steven_f1
I use a 4GB card in my 5D and I have heard of people using 8GB. Manual recommends cards with 2GB capacity or more. In most cameras the max size of the memory card they can handle is determined by the camera firmware and the industry standard specifications for the memory type. Since you can purchase 64GB cards and canon recently updated the 5D firmware I wouldn't worry about this. The camera can probably handle the biggest CF card you can afford. frank_ernens
The most recent firmware update supports at least 16GB. I've applied the update and it hasn't cause any problems. I don't use large cards myself.
drolo
Thanks a lot, I was not aware of the firm ware update. 8 GB will be well enough.
