mark_in_st._louis
I've currently got the 70-200 VR on a Nikon D3, but may move up in the future. Have GM3551 on order. Wondering if the RRS MH-01-LR is appreciated by those that order it, or returned?
peter_n1664876959
Still no responses, very disappointing. That RRS ballhead certainly looks the part!
kolya_wolf1
I have the MH-01 and like it. It's certainly strong enough for any lens you can carry. My one reservation is that you cannot fine tune the friction the way you can with the best ball-heads. But the friction knob is very easy to use and gives good tactile feedback. But I would recommend getting the "Pro" (screw-knob) version rather than the "LR" (leaver-release) version, because it's generally more secure -- especially if you're balancing a heavy lens at a steep angle.
