timbowles
Hi- Is it possible to lock flash output on this unit once a an FEL pop is made on a grey card (i.e. to maintain the correct exposure in a sequence of photos), or does a new FEL pop need to be done for each exposure? Thanks, Tim
zml
It is retained in memory until you press the FEL button again.
jason_hall5
"It is retained in memory until you press the FEL button again." As I recall the setting will go away if you hit the FEL agian, or after you take the photo, also after about 15 seconds it will time out if you have not take the photo. I think it will hold the setting as long as you HOLD the FEL button, even as you take pictures. Jason
jason_hall5
I just tried it, and I am correct. If you push the FEL button to get the pop on your grey card and HOLD the button the setting will remain, even as you take as many images as you like. If you let it go at all the setting will remain until the image is taken, it times out, or you hit the button again to get a new setting. I knew this was true for AEL but needed to test it to be sure about FEL. Jason
chrisjb
Note, holding FEL, this is also a good workaround when using studio lights in combo, after the 1st flash there is no preflash to set the slaves of.. HTH .:)
zml
Oops, yeah, 16 seconds or until you release the FEL button. My brain is gone...
