Thoughts on "Bellies & Babies" seminar?

Hoping to go to Bellies and Babies seminar in my city, but would like some opinions of it. Is it worth it? Have a bit

of a timing conflict with work, so just want to make sure it's worth trying to get the time off of work.

I went to it and thought it was worth it. I came away learning a solid studio workflow for a newborn-parent

relationship photography session. I thought that part was the most useful, but I also learned a lot of other

things as well about business and marketing. As with most seminars, it's interwoven with pushes to buy this and

that. You have to mentally filter what's actual advice and what's a sales pitch.

I'm curious - I'm fascinated by this genre of photography but I am concerned that the mothers-to-be (or just have become) may be nervous or more reticent with a male photographer. Is this particular subject one that I would just be better staying away from?
