murrayatuptowngallery
1) What size thread is in a Series VI filter holder? 2) I have a 1.5"/38 mm push-on Series VI adapter that got separated from the it's camera, and I can't rememberwhich it went with! Anyone recognize this as standard for a particular camera? (long shot) Thanks
dave_s
(i) Close to 44mm. You can screw a 44 - ##mm step ring in a Series VI holder. (ii) Probably many lenses with 1.5" barrels, but someone more informed can give you some examples.
dave_s
Further to (ii). Brian Wallen's Ektar pages list the 105/3.7 and 127/4.7 Ektars as taking 38mm push- on adapters, if that's pertinent to the question. randall ellis
I have all the series filter sizes on my site. Just click the articles link and then the link for Series filter sizes. The Series VI are 41.3 mm. As to which lens your's fits, just try to slip it on your different lenses, and if it fits you've found Cinderella! Oh, sorry, you've found your match... - Randy
michael_gilday
Randall: The *filters* are around 41.3mm (depending on who manufactured them), but the *threads* on the adapters, hoods, retaining rings, et cetera are right around 44mm (again, depending on who made them). murrayatuptowngallery
Thanks. I think the 38 mm fit my Kodak Vollenda 620 (6x9, 105 mm Schneider Xenar). Things get separated frequently.
