Hi Javier,

I'm the owner of that lens, Takumar F 70-200mm :)

I've been reading posts from this forum for almost a year and this seems a good Pentax forum also.

Usually I join in DPreview or Pentax Forum under the name hermanlee/HermanLee

Actually, I post this lens for sale in Pentax Forum as well.

So, this is my first post in this forum :) Hi, everybody!

I'm shooting w/K100D and many other lenses including some FA* & Limited.

This Takumar F 70-200mm, I got it when I first start looking for old lenses for Pentax.

It has served me well. I really like how light this lens is and the IQ is not so bad either.

Too bad my K100D is in service right now because of the sensor is behaving.

Several amazing glasses but no body.....so sad :(

If you have more questions about this lens, pls feel free to ask.

Hopefully I can learn more from this great Pentax community.

Have fun and happy shooting :)

Hi Javier,

Yes, I live in Alhambra. What city do you live in?

If you'd like maybe we can meet sometime this week and you can try the lens if you'd like.

It's good to know somebody in the area who also shoots w/Pentax since my friend mostly use Canon :)

Wow that's so cool.

Good to know. Let me guess, do you have a printing business on Main St?

Sorry if I'm wrong. It's just I think I had a client with similar name like you before :)

I like North Alhambra. It's a very nice area and neighborhood.

I live on south of Main St.

If you're still curious about the lens, you can try it on your camera. No abligation to buy ;)

Just shoot me an email where and when we can meet.

Ali, back to topic.

This lens is not recommended because is not SMC. The non coated Takumars are average lenses. Some SMC Takumars are classics, recommended even today. So, when you see a Tak, look also if it is multi coated.
