thirteenthumbs
<a href=http://www.jobousadarkroom.com/products/miscprod.htm#Roller%20Base>The Jobo Roller Base</a> comes with 4 nylon rollers and 4 roller adaptors. Position the rollers on the base or in the adaptors and the adaptors onto the base so that the drum sits between the rollers and rolls easily without draging on any surface. Load the drum with film, presoak per drum instructions, drain and pour in the developer using at least the minimun amount of developer required by the developer manifacturer to fully develope the amount of (B&W) film you have in the drum but not less than the minimun stated on the drum label for that amount and size of film, rotate in one direction a set number of times or for a set number of seconds then reverse the direction for an equal amount of turns or seconds. Continue in simular fassion for the remainder of the steps of the processsing that you are using. <br> I and others have not noticed any diffference between 10 revolutions per directrion, 15 seconds per direction , or 30 seconds per direction. Just keep the turning rate the same. (fimger tip on closest edge of drum, push foward until back of palm at edge to center of drum followed by the same motion of the other hand, reverse the motion for reverse rolling or flip the tank 180 0 horizionally and continue pushing away from you. Easy to do with a little pratice.
dasblute
You could get a uniroller motor base, I got mine and 3 unicolor tanks for $75 on the auction site. It works very well. I've got the jobo roller base but I didn't have the attention span to keep it consistent for 7-9 minutes.
