davidgarth
I have a Gossen Digital light meter which I just bought used. It drains its battery in less than a week even when not used at all. Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what's causing it? <p> Dave
michael_heal
Cough. Yes, sounds familiar. A trysistor or something sometimes fails in these meters. Happened to my meter at after approximately 10 years. The meter still works, but can eat a battery in a few hours. I took mine back to the distributor, who replaced the defective part and recalibrated the meter. Recalibration is necessary following the surgery. All is well again.
