I think there is another one in Barcelona, and other cities probably claim his last resting place as well. jose_angel Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Columbus died in Valladolid (Spain). Then, his mortal remains were moved to Seville. His son take this remains to America, and after several trips, this remains arrived again to Seville. The University of Granada studied the mortal remains of this tomb and compared them to other ADN samples from members of Cristopher Columbus family: after that can be assured that part of Columbus rests are into this tomb. Probably, the most of Coumbus rests are in Republica Dominicana but, sadly, their government didn`t allow to scientifics to study this issue.
