derrickdehaan
I mounted my 580EX II on my 400D along with a new Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens. In AV mode, the shutter stays at 1/200 no matter what aperture I select. If I turn the flash to high speed sync, the shutter stays at 1/4000 no matter the aperture. It was working fine earlier? I tried a different lens and same result. In shutter priority mode, no matter the shutter speed I select, it selects the smallest aperture possible for the lens. Did I bump a setting that I cannot figure out? This is really bad news as our wedding is a week away. Please help! Derrick
ian riches
Is custom function 3 set to 1? If so, try setting it to 0. If it's not, then I've no idea. (Page 104 of your manual, if you're not sure what I am referring to.)
derrickdehaan
I removed the batteries from the camera overnight, and low and behold....all is well again. I did just order a 40D from B&H though today. I love the XTi, but it will be a great back up camera now. Thanks Ian, but the custom function you mention was at "0". Appreciate the help though.
