sngreen
Would it be possible to sort the posts with the latest to show on top? Or at least to add the time stamp to thedate when something new is added. Thanks, - Sergey
richterjw
They are sorted with most recent posts at the top and in descending order from there. Also, if there is a particular thread you are interested in, you can get an email sent to you whenever there are responses; you will find "notify me of responses" at the bottom of each thread. joshroot
I think he means that he wants old posts to pop up to the top of the forum. Long ago we made the decision to not have our forums operate that way. We feel that it encourages necro-posting and that it pushes legitimate requests for help or information down the page and out of view in favor of pointless "hot topics" like "Which is better, digital or film". However on every forum there is a "new answers" view which gives much of what you ask for. For example, here is the Canon forum's "new answers" view: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a?topic_id=1545&type=new_answers There is also a "new answer" view for the Unified forum that will show you new answers site-wide: http://www.photo.net/bboard/unified/q-and-a-new-answers
sngreen
Thanks Josh, but do I need to append &type=new_answers each time I open the forum (I just tried it on Nikon) or can it be set as cookie and be user specific? - Sergey
joshroot
There is a link on every forum page for the "new answers" view.<div></div>
