If you cannot find a way to carry on your equipment which I agree is best, package it well and ship it by FED-EX to the nearest FED-EX station to the airport. Every major airport and most minor ones will have a station nearby. Insure it well, but my experience is that FED-EX is great with package handling, and I ship a lot.
