floosli
Does anyone know what is and/or is not fully functional on the fl-36r flash unit when used on an evolt 510? I want to buy an external wireless flash for my evolt 510, but when I read it is only partially functional on the 510, I'm reconsidering. Is there a wireless system that will give me full function other than the olympus flash..etc etcThanks for your input.Frank
kurt petersen
Everything will work fine EXCEPT the TTL-RC remote control functions which require a camera with wireless capability, such as E-3, E-520, E-420 or SP-560uz. You can use the flash as a normal slave flash in MANUAL or AUTO mode.
walter_degroot
there was a reasoably-priced Vivitar remote flash that was triggered by the built-in flash, no wires no voltage compatibility problems. In the auction site for "olympus auctions"( refurbs) they give compatibility info. some manuals are on their website so you can look before you buy.
