mwtphoto
I just purchased a used G2. I was trying to see if the infrared remote worked. When I tried nothing worked. I set the camera to timer to activate the remote feature but no go. I tested the battery and it had a positive charge. I pointed the remote at the camera and viewed it on the lcd screen. when i pushed a button i could see a faint pulsing white light. My question is what can i do to ensure that the remote works and is there something i am missing here.thanks for your timeCheersMark
john v.
You might want to change the battery anyway. Just because it has a charge doesn't mean it has enough power to trigger the camera. When I still had my G2, the remote would become less reliable as the battery weakened. Sometimes it would take four or five attempts to fire the camera remotely, or the remote had to be less then five feet from the camera. After a battery change, these issues would resolve themselves. mwtphoto
thanks for the answer John. I picked one up at lunch and will try it when I get home tonight. For all I know the original battery is still in the remote.
