thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
I have dust on the sonsor of my 1D3 blue dot :( Tried air rocket without results. I have a bad time with my 5D and the dust andthough this would be resolved with the sensor cleaning system. It's (still) a big problem for me as I shoot alot against the sun, and thereforesmall aperture. Any idea not involving liquids out there? (Dust Aid is "discontinued" from B&H)
david_amberson1
Very soft sensor brush and swipe it one time. The sensor is covered by a filter so it wont scratch it. One soft swipe should do it. It must be a stubborn piece of dust if it wont fall of with the dust removal system. I noticed it runs 2 cycles as apposed to the lower end systems. You would think it wouldnt be a problem. If I go out into a dusty area, my weather proof lens doesn't come off until I have given the outside a bath at home in my sink, wipe it off, then remove the lens
SteveH
I use the "visible dust" brushes with good results. My 1DsIII gets an occasional stubborn bit as well. The kit I have has a little motorized rotator to charge the brush, avoiding the use of canned air, which I understand may actually have some oily stuff in the propellant. Cheers.
