xato Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 The 1.4x works great on the 300. I've tried the 2x on the 300 as well but wasnt' satisfied with the sharpness. Perhaps it was my technique or my tripod or head or something else. So I've never tried them both in conjunction. If I want longer I use my Rubinar 500/5.6 mirror or Practicar 500/8. If you want angle of view the same as a 840 mm on the Pentax you might be better off with a 500mm on a full frame 35mm camera. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
