For instance,this morning I put my flash on and started taking pictures, but the flashwouldn't flash unless it was pointing straight forward. I have found there areinstances when I need fill flash, but I can't figure out how to tell it to go.Am I being clear as mud? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
andrewg_ny Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I think it usually will flash if turned on but may be sensitive to certain settings. What shooting mode were you using? Is shutter speed slower than or equal to 1/180? What about flash settings? If by "pointing straight forward" you mean no swivel and no bounce, I don't think that should matter. mc2imaging Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I'm curious what your EXIF data might say (i.e. Flash Fired: True/False)... Andrew might have it though. If you were pushing the shutter speed over 1/180, the flash won't fire unless you have the 540 flash in HS Sync mode. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
