Does anyone have tested the Nikon 16-85 mm VR ?

The 18-55 mm VR and non-VR have both excellent IQ and these two lenses, in

compare with the new Nikon 16-85 VR, are almost the same, being the 16-85 VR,

better built, VR II, true AF, etc, etc. so, the question is, have anyone tested this

lens so far ? How good is it ? I am looking for sharpness and nothing else. Can

somebody help ? I am also thinking about the 18-200 VR but again, I am not

asking here about this last one but the 16-85 VR which is the newest prosumer

lens in the market. So, what do you think folks ?

A few folks here have reported some nice results with the lens. These are not 'tests' in the normal sense but if you would like to see some thoughts from real world use, check out some of these threads....

I haven't heard complaints about sharpness, only that it is pretty slow at the long end.
