cory_zerkee
I have to say it outright. I love this lens. This is my first "pro" lens (my others are a Tokina 80-400mm f/4.5~5.6, and an FA 28-70mm f/4), and it is one sexy piece of glass. This is the first shot I took with it of my daughter on an overcast day. <a href=" title="Untitled by BJBMWTech, on Flickr">

jacques c pelletier
Great shot !! That lens seems to be just as good as the DA*16-50 which I just love! I guess now you will ne thinking of yet another hreat lens from either the DA*200 f2.8 or the 300mm f4! Congrats!
revolver
WOW! Nice clean shot. did you do anything to this picture to enhance it?
cory_zerkee
Christopher: I just adjusted the curves slightly in Photoshop to brighten it a tad, and then a little bit of unsharp mask. :)
mountainvisions
One of the best lenses I have ever owned. I was under the impression the 16-50 would be equally good but it seems neither the outer design nor the optics are on par from what I've seen. If the 28-70 is the Pentax FA 28-70 F/4 that is also a great lens. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the f/4 aperture. For a long time I thought there must be something wrong with the lens, afterall, many people didn't seem to like it. But resolution wise it's outstanding, flare control is exceptional. The only difference between it and a heavy pro lens is 1 stop and a lot of weight (oh, and it could be built a bit better but 10 years later it's still taking sharp shots!!) Anyway, I think people tend to be snobs if a lens isn't 2.8 of faster no matter how good it is. The 50-135 is an exceptional lens and has a fast max aperture, enjoy it!!! frygge
As I posted earlier, after testing this lens for a short while, the 50-135mm is friggin awesome. Congrats Cory, sorry M&M.
cory_zerkee
Yea, Justin, you are correct. I have taken great shots with my $99 FA 28-70mm f/4. Heck, all the indoor model shots I posted in that other thread a while ago were taken with that lens. In fact, our dealer puts out a professional magazine every few months that gets circulation everywhere and I just found out they want to use MY pictures for the 12 page spread on the fashion show. :)
