FA 35/F2 + "image" Auto 2x Teleconverter

I picked up one of these TC's used yesterday intending to take out the elements and use it as an

extension tube. It does not seem to pass the aperture setting properly, but does work with manual

exposure (and hyper). Obviously it'll only work with lenses with an aperture ring.

 

Until I scare up a lens spanner I'll be using it as it originally was intended. It seems to work well with the

FA35/2 but it's a bit flarey with the FA50/1.4. Here's a shot with my FA35/2:<div></div>

Those shots are great, I love the effect... subtle and soft.

I did order a TC from eBay and, supposedly, works with FA, AF and DA/DA* lenses.

It's a Tamron MC4 1.4x.

I will let you know whether this works the way it is said as soon as I receive it. If it does, maybe you could find another one on Ebay.

I paid just $28.00 Cdn.

Jacques, you are going to make a lot of people angry with that price. Yes, that Tamron TC does work well. It has been the source of many discussions here and on other forums. Most people paid over US $130 for it.
