images_in_light_north_west Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Am looking to get a new laptop, tried a VAIO was great but the screen sucked (had the shiny screen) any suggestions for a smaller laptop with a decent screen, am looking at 15", the VAIO supprised me how bad the screen was for a $1600 laptop, will be used for location shot selection and maybe some pre- editing. eric_brody Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Apple is the answer. My now obsolete Mac Book Pro, purchased last June, has what was described as the current best screen in laptop-dom. Do some googling and you'll see. I do not use mine for critical editing but is is quite nice even when compared to my calibrated 24 inch Planar. Good luck.
