minhnguyen9113
My poor scanner couldn't do the work and I'm not good in Photoshop if I don't want to say know nothing so I decided to let the lab do the scanning job. I set the pictures in horizontal and turn the LCD monitor 90 degrees. WOW!!! a picture worth a thousand words and here they are.

cliffmanley
Super, Super, Super !!! Who says you need multicoated lenses on high-tech digital cameras with a computer stitching program. It warms my heart to see REAL photography. Great Job.
minhnguyen9113
Eugene, It's not a Panoram just a Kodak 3A converted to 56x140mm to use 120 roll film. Thanks Luis, Franklin, Cliff Minh
patrick_lewis2
I love these pictures! It inspires me to run some of my velvia though my no.1 pocket kodak. I was always a little hesitant because of the absence of a coating, but this proves that you can get some good results. It always pleases me to see what 100 year old technology can do. I've got a 3A model B4 - a beautiful camera - and I'll have to figure out how to rig it up with sheet film or 120. Thanks for posting the photos! minhnguyen9113
Ralf, in the 2nd and 3rd shot I center the camera and tilt it up to see if it work that why both buildings are not in the center of the pictures. Patrick, thanks for your feedback you should try your camera. My young friend Patrick, what's your next step, let my know if I can help. chuck_foreman1
Minh, Wow... Amazing! Some say this isn't real Panorama Ah maybe it's a visual trick. In any case it's very convincing and in color to boot gives you the "knock your socks off" look!! In your answer to Eugen, you mention 56x140. Is this a a by-product of masking or converting an otherwise 3x4 frame to use 120? Sorry I don't know the Kodaks models so well!! But wow! The exposure is so good especially in the last shot with street lighting! Probably a good Idea to let somebody else scan it! Minh ..this is really eye-poppong incredible? I think my X16s are about 2.54 cm too small... Darn!!
bcostin
Man, those are awesome. I've got to try doing one of those conversions.
minhnguyen9113
Chuck, the size of the original format is 31/4 x 51/2 (84x140mmm) 122 roll film being masked to 56x140mm 120 roll film. Panorama is a word, I call it panorama camera because I can put a wide angle Nikkor 65mm SW f4 on it and make it work. I'll post some pictures with a 127mm Rodenstock soon after get them scanned by the lab. Thanks for asking. Minh
paulh
Nice. I've just scanned the first proper roll of 120 that I've run through my modified Kodak 2C, which originally took 130 film. I've got adapters/spacers for the supply side with a fancy reel for the take-up side, plus some film support guides to cope with the narrower film. With the new guide rails, I'm getting 50x125mm negs.
There is a hint of a light leak on the right of this picture, but I think I know the source.
