les_hodge
This is the first time I have posted on here, I can't seem to get the image stabilisers to work on any of my lenses on this particular camera body - the Mark III. I have a Mark II and a Mark II N, and the lenses work fine with both these cameras, but not with the new body. The image stabiliser doesn't seem to kick in with it, I have looked through the custom settings and for the life of me, I can't seem to see what it is. I know it will be as obvious as the nose on my face, thank you.
KenPapai
Provide more info perhaps: maybe which Canon lenses are you having problems with, the Canon 70-200 2.8L IS ?

chris_adams11
Have you customized what buttons start the IS. In the custom functions you can change it so that a half press on the shutter doesnt activate IS. If you haven't messed with the default settings though you likely shouldn't have this issue. You might try setting the camera back to default as well just for troubleshooting sake.
mark_chappell
Sounds like a camera problem, especially if you don't have the issue with other bodies. You could try cleaning the electrical contacts (carefully). If that failed (and it was my camera), my next move would be to have it repaired or replaced -- or at least looked at by a service center. I've not done an exhaustive search through all the custom settings on my 1D3 but, like you, I can't recall anything to do with IS. Same for all other Canon bodies I've worked with. mark_chappell
Ah, I see what Chris was referring to -- setting 5 on CF III-6. That one's fairly obscure but would be worth checking.
adrian_lowe
Perhaps ther might some mileage in checking the meatdata on the images that you made with the faulty lens/camera combination. Its my GUESS...that the camera doesn't recognise the lens. Have known it to happen. MHO.
colinsouthern
My guess would be a camera issue unfortunately.
eigtball
Try updating the firmware if possible see if that helps.
