leonora_bora
Hey I am new to photo.net. just got a view camera, and really wanted to shoot some industrial landscape, especially from high vantage points. I live in Brooklyn, and I have seen industrial NJ from the highway, but never really been there. Would anyone have suggestions for accessible places.... i know a lot these days is behind fences. I was thinking Newark... thanks ;)
frankz
Things aren't quite as they were years ago - go out taking pictures and someone is liable to call the cops on you suspecting you're a terrorist and planning a massive strike. Good luck in finding a site or two.
richard_ilomaki7
Hi There There is an organization called the Society for Industrial Archeology with chapters all over the US, including Manhattan and New England. Google them and follow the trail. They have well organized outings several times a year at old industrial sites in regions near the chapters. Cheers & good luck. mark_hall5
A great place to shoot the Pulaski Skyway is from the Jersey City side of the Hackensack River(?). Just south of the Skyway and roughly opposite Duncan Ave there is a road that leads to the water. Wide lens, great view (very Soprano's like). If you have a car explore both sides of the river, it's a beautiful industrial landscape. Good luck, Mark.
