maybe ? a dusty and horizon tilted, splotchy, poorly exposed, poorly printed, photograph of something interesting beats a dustless perfect horizon of something uninteresting all day long. the world isn't going to end because of dust or a tilted horizon line or poorly exposed &c image

ive read the whole thread and i am not really buying what you are selling. it doesn't really have much to do with mindfullness but it has to do with someone uploading what THEY like, and you don't, so you are complaining about it.

what does being mindful have to do with a straight horizon line ?

none of the scouts i know now or when i was a kid pay much attention to the cover of the pamphlet. they just see " a kid with a camera" nothing more than that. its too bad beekeeping and bookbinding aren't offered anymore ...

local camera shop ( last one in the area ) said been selling 300 rolls of film a week .. manager has been in the photo business a long time and was happy and surprised ..

hello bob the speed, has no movements other than whatever rise /shift is on the standard on the toyo, yes, but nothing drastic .. i don't have a symmar of that focal length, still its image circle isn't as large as a symmar ( i never suggested it was or that it has massive coverage ) ... i don't own a sironar ... sure the tominon doesn't cover as well as other lenses, .. it won't cover a 5x7 sheet but that's ok ... when i use it on a 5x7 i expect it to vignette a little .. polaroid was about 2 minutes away on the other side of the charles. levines used to get a lot of used polaroid copy stuff .. :)

hi john yes it covers, or at least mine does ... it came as the "taking-lens" / "attached lens" on my speed graphic ( 4x5 ) when i bought it from e.p. levines back when they were on 150 lincoln street in boston, i've used it for 30 years on that camera and a toyo view camera with no issues whatsoever ... a variety of distances from the film plane, portraits, architectural-stuff / site work and at infinity, never a problem ( negatives and chromes ). its a nice little lens .. and mine was sold in a self cocking copal type press shutter ... good luck !

look for an old polaroid passport or portrait camera all the work is already done for you .. and they cost a lot less than a speed or crown graphic !

hi gerry it was a technical discussion, about lighting &c. critiquing the images or model's choice of eye liner would like someone going to a mechanic-classes for a technical discussion about rebuilding a car engine and someone critiquing the style of car or the driver. they have nothing to do with eachother.

i see and understand what you are saying,but ... i view mislead to be the same as manipulate and every image made has been manipulated somehow whether it was the intent of the person who made it or the "medium" itself.
