monochromekx
Long Shot question (I think I know the answer).
A friend was impressed by myK10D, and is considering purchasing a tag-end K10 or a K20 as prices drop a bit- BUT - he has a bag full of Minolta manual lenses. That doesn't affect hischoice of DSLR brand since they will only work with older film camerasnow, but the expense of converting to a digital body AND lenses is holding himback from going digital at all.
Is there such a thing as a ring adapter tomount Minolta manual MC/MD (pre-Maxxum) lenses on a K-Mount body?
Myfriend would even consider a negative-lens converter, and losing a stop or two,in order to achieve infinity focus. danny_wong2
The only DSLR which the MD/MC lens will work without image degradation of aux focusing lens in the adapter are the 4/3 camera. However the effective equivalent focal length will be doubled so he will still have a need for wide angle lenses.
