ken munn
Hi, Please see the attached. It is a section of a 645 transparency of a painting I scanned for inclusion in a catalogue. I photographed it with a white, black, grey reference (seen here at the top) in shot. After the pre-scan I used the Epson Scan app's histogram function to set the black, white and mid points using the eyedropper. The result is what you see at the top of the attachment - it has a distinct red colour cast. The bottom section of the attachment is after correction using CS3's level controls. Can anyone suggest why the Epson would scan with a colour cast (which wasn't visible on-screen in the preview)? Is this inherent with the 3200? Am I doing something wrong? Should I forget about trying to set levels on the pre-scan and just do everything in CS3 afterwards? Thanks for any help.<div></div>
