ffrank
I recently purchased a Nikon D300 and used it for the first time today. I copiedmy RAW images from my flash card to the computer as I have done many times withimages from my old camera...a Nikon CoolPix 8800. I have been shooting RAW fileswith both cameras. Now when I try to view the D300 files in Adobe Bridge... thefiles will only display in thumbnail size. I select a picture from the sidebarand Bridge displays it in thumbnail size. What am I not doing correctly? In themeta data with the old camera the document kind says "camera raw" and the nextitem is application, which says "E8800v1.3". The meta data for the D300 in thedocument kind says "Camera Raw Image" and there is no application item listed. Also when I double click on and image, it bypasses ACR and goes straight toPhotoShop which gives an error message saying its the wrong kind of file.Presumably because it hasn't been converted yet in Camera Raw. I hope I havegiven enough information or the right information for someone to help me out. Isthere a setting in Bridge or ACR that needs to be changed or something incamera? Thanks. robert_brake1
Does your version of ACR support the D300? (check the Adobe website) If not try converting to DNGs with Adobe's DNG converter, then open in Bridge. I haven't followed the D300, but Adobe are often a few weeks or months behind in adding new camera support to ACR.
ffrank
I am using CS2 so that could possibly be the problem. I do have CS3 but haven't installed it yet. I wanted to clean up some files from my hard drive first so that is what I will be doing tonight. Thanks Robert. I wonder if an update for CS2 from Adobe's web site might work? 2yellowdogs
That's your problem. CS2 doesn't support the D300. Install CS3 and make sure you're running the latest version of Camera RAW.
