shant_ergenian
So I bought my ETRSi a few months back am I'm really loving it. The only thing is I'd like a wider range of lenses to experiment with. Currently I have a 50MC 75PE and 150PE. I know Bronica made some good lenses but I'd like to know if there are other good quality lenses out there that can potentially fit onto an ETR. So I guess my question is what other companies make lenses that would fit a Bronica (w/ or w/o adapters)? Thanks! Shant
rashedahmed
I don't think so.In MF cameras you hardly or rather no way can find a 'other company lenses'. Some companies make adapter ie.'Hasselblad to Mamiya or Pentax mount' .I also won a ETRSi system but haven't found an adapter yet.
robert_grasing
No other companies is the answer, either lenses or adapters. On the other hand, Bronica did make a good selection of high quality lenses for the ETRS, so you really don't need to shop elsewhere.
bryn_evans
I have exactly the same lenses as you.But have a look at this rare lens if you want something different. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200206934880&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=
bryn_evans
Here is another quality rare piece of glass, this guy gets some super bronica bits in ive used him in the past. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Magnificent-Bronica-Zenzanon-PE-30mm-fisheye-ETRS-i_W0QQitemZ290212321665QQihZ019QQcategoryZ3350QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
shant_ergenian
Wow, that is a shame. Wait...not even Nikkor makes compatible lenses? I remember seeing an eBay auction where the guy was selling a Nikkor lens that apparently fit on a Bronica. I don't know which series Bronica though. Thanks for those links Bryan, but I guess I'm looking for a range of 'normal' lenses, not 75mm normal, but from somewhat wide to somewhat telephoto. I wanted to see if there was a lens of choice to be used with an ETR system.
SCL
The ETR series takes only lenses made by Bronica, of which there are a pretty wide selection.

dave_wilson1
There is a pretty big difference in the widw angles. The PE is the improved ones. The older E style 50 isn't as good, corners are kind of soft lower contrast. Look for a good 40 or 50. No other lenses fit that I know, but there are some really good lenses. keirst
Nikon did make early lenses for a Bronica camera, but I'm not sure what Bronica model or if they are compatible with later cameras.
david_henderson
The Nikon lenses are not compatible with the ETR/ETRS/ETRSi cameras. The PE lenses referred to above are the last generation of lens produced, and launched from 1992. There is a 40/50/60/75/100macro/135/150/180/200/250/500. The lenses you have are those most commonly available. I doubt whether its worth filling in the gaps between the focal lengths you have so you have three choices. To get a more extreme wide. To get a longer telephoto To get the 100mm with Macro capability but which performs very well at longer distances too. Over to you- what sort of photography do you want to do that your current lenses don't support? I would make the decision on this basis not that of perceived quality since all the PE lenses will be fine and Bronica lenses normally match very well across the different focal lengths. The 500 is big and expensive.
thomas_barnes1
Ever so often on ebay there are zooms or tilt correction lenses by Schneider for the Bronica ETR series of cameras that I've seen. They are pricey but they might be the right tool for expressing your vision. On the other hand, most are in near mint shape because somone wanted another 'toy' and the equipment just gathered dust on the shelf...
phil_turcotte1
Does anyone know the difference between the PE 75mm lens and the EII 75mm lens ? Regarding the Nikon lens for Bronica, I believe that Nikon supplied lenses for the very first Bronica models (S, S2) back in the late 50's. supapong_chan
I think the EII and PE 75 are the same lens base on glass element configuration. I now have only the PE 75, I used to own an MC75 which has 58mm filter thread size, that one was a really sharp and very contrasty lens. I have made several portraits blown up to 16x20 inch which are very sharp indeed. The PE is almost as sharp with moderate to soft contrast.
