Nowhereman
Alex, that is your best picture of the ones that I have seen. If you can continue to do this level of B&W you should forget about colour. ?Mitch/Bangkok

Alex_Es
Thanks Mitch and Clive! But forget color and my M8 (sniff). The shot was made with a Bessa R3A + Nikkor 2000 50/1.4 on a Nikon S to Leica adapter. And James, what is the story behind that?!

vivek iyer
Alex, Clive is right. :) Why are you wasting your time with the..? Very nice shots.
clive1
Alex, both of these shots are wonderful. "There's no accounting for taste," but this is candid photography at its best as far as I'm concerned. Loneliness/sadness/nostalgia/homesickness/traveling into the unknown, the pictures raise many questions in the viewer's mind (she was probably just another office lady on her way to work...). Did you know the woman?
The second one looks almost hand-coloured (a technique I'm starting to get into). Obviously NOT from your M8 (thus my suggestion, which I know you'll ignore). Will we be seeing a spike in Bessa sales for March, 2008? You'd do well to take more of these shots and less of the others. My 2 yen's worth. Nowhereman
Alex, no comparison: the first one, in my view, is much better than the second (colour) one, in which the blown out circles are quite distracting. Again, seriously, I think it makes sense to narrow your range: stick with B&W and with the Bessa/Nikkor 50/f1.4 and let the M8 gather dust or just sell it. If I were you that is what I would do and never look back. Again, there is no comparison in terms of quality of this B&W photographs and what you've been doing with the M8: the M8 has better "image quality", but that is totally irrelevant if you can keep making pictures of the quality of the B&W one above. Yes, absolutely, you have to get out from under the yoke of the M8. <p{ And this one is for Mikal:

Ricoh GR-Digital II + 40mm Tele-converter | ISO 400

--Mitch/Bangkok
