vic_.
Marc, I love your Japan and Truk portfolio. Thanks! What lens do you use for the fisheye effect?
robovet
Vic, The fisheye was a canon 15mm with a 5D. The panorama of the view at the Park Hyatt was seven shots stitched with PTgui pano software and the 15mm. I used an ikelite housing for the 5D for the UW shots in Truk. tony31664880056
Although I haven't used it much, I like it as well on my M8. Here's an example from NYC:

Regards, Tony C.
steve_larese1
Nice bike :) Where where you riding? And how do you take your M8 along on a mountain bike ride? ;)
harvey_edelstein1
The problem with using such a wide angle lens on a 3:2 frame like the 35mm format is that you get more vertical info like sky or foreground and for me I look for more width. I you want to see what I mean go to the noblex.com web site and click on the comparisons tab they compare various camera setups (xpan, 15mm on a 35mm format and Noblex) with wide angles and differing frame formats. Of course cropping the height of the 35mm frame could accomplish much the same thing.
robovet
The bike is a Turner made here in Murrieta. I rode up to the towers in La Cresta on a single track. I carry my M8 with 15/28/ and 90 lenses in a little padded camera bag which in turn is inside one of the larger camel back backpacks. I also carry a mini tripod. That's the whole advantage of the M system-- small and lightweight. Never could do that with a Mark 3 and 70-200 etc.
