jun_ea
I can't seem to get a "what you see is what you get" print. I use Eye 1 Match 3to calibrate my lcd monitor. I light my workspace at about 5500 Kelvin. I alsouse Colorbyte's Image Print to print to my Epson Stylus 2200 printer. (I haverun nozzle checks to confirm that the ink dispenser is clear). My prints stilldon't look like what I see on screen; they are darker and some what more red. What is wrong? I believe that my monitor, a Dell 2005FPW lcd, is sub par foradvance photo editing needs, BUT IS THAT REALLY THE PROBLEM? Any insight wouldbe appreciated. Thanks! kory gunnarsen
Just the nature of the beast reflected vs transmitted. The differnence is huge. A good monitor is the only way to really judge your images. It is like looking through a dirty lens than does not represent the actual image you are looking at. Try this monitor test, it will judge your monitor and/or profile. It should look smooth. http://www.booksmartstudio.com/downloads/GrangerRainbow.tif Try this tutorial: http://www.booksmartstudio.com/services.php?section=540&a=
thirteenthumbs
1.Change your work area standard incandescent light bulbs to <a href=http://www.gelighting.com/na/home_lighting/products/reveal_main.htm> Reveal Light Bulbs </a>.<br> 2.Starting with your monitor, reclibrate and fine tune your system.<br> 3.Reevaluate the results. jun_ea
Thank you, both. Korry, I'll run a test of my monitor with what you provided. Charles, do the Reveal bulbs come in a variety of color temperatures? I'll look into it.
