steven_moseley1
Hi, I love my old Domke F6 bag, but it will not fit the new 40D gear. I would like something as simple and fast to get into...and the bag must be available in the UK. Anyone have suggestions for 40D plus 10-22 EF-S, 24-105 L, 60 EF-S and one other lens, plus cards, batts, filters etc. I was condsidering Lowepro 200AW reporter, Tenba 839, Lowepro pro AW minimag/Elite or any other well made simple bags.. cheers Steve.M. quenched
my lowey backpack is primo, rip the identifying tags off any bag that suggests camera gear. Try and dress it down without drawing any attention. there are a couple of cheap tamracs on ebay atm. Cheers S
eric_lawson1
Slingshot 300AW. Couldnt rip mine from my cold dead fingers. I use it with a 30D& grip, 24-105L, 24-70L, 70-300(non DO), P3000, spare batteries, 580 flash...
PuppyDigs
I use a Tamrac Zoom Traveler 606 for a similar rig. USA made and well designed with lens bridge and lots of thoughtful compartments. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
geoff_foale
Lowepro is good quality. I use one of their holster type bags for a 10D and 70-300 lens. It gets rough treatment but is still fine. Not cheap but I think they are worth a bit extra. Bought mine from Jessops; they can be competitive sometimes but double check price elsewhere. nathan_meador
I've had my Lowepro 300 AW for a little over a month, very easy to use and comfortable. I carry my 40D with a 50mm, 200mm, 100mm macro, a fisheye lens, flash and a handful of filters with ease.
jimstrutz
Domke F1 or F2, althought they might be a bit more bag than you want. I use a Slingshot 200 as well, and I know would hold all your stuff and more. It is a good bag for what it is, but I certainly don't consider it fast after using the Domke. You can get the camera out without too much bother, but changing lenses with it strapped on requires some careful juggling, and more time than I like. bebe_.
Ditto for the Slingshot 300... For a holster i use the Lowepro toploader 75 aw (it wouldn't fit into a 70aw with the battery grip attached, the 75 is perfect)
steven_moseley1
...thanks all for the help. The Domke F1/2 I have seen and are I am afraid just too big. I tried the Lowe slingshots, but found them awkward, over complex and slow to use. The trouble is that here in the UK, it is now virtually impossible to find anywhere near a decent selection of bags in any store outside of London...hence having to try and ascertain needs on the web. I am now looking at Billingham 106/206, made only a few miles from me!, Lowe reporter 200AW AND 300AW, Tamrac pro 5 and Tenba.. cheers Steve.M.
