reginapagles
Upon importing a PSD saved image into Lightroom, I get this message:br> "The files could not be read. Please re-open the files in Photoshop and save them with the 'maximize Compatibility' preference enabled."I then opened the file in PS, went into preferences, changed "Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" to "Always", and re-saved the image.I get the same message upon trying to import the image again into Lightroom.Help!Regina
don_e
I don't have an answer, but suggest determining if those files are too big for LR anyway. If not, and failing another solution, convert one to tiff and see if that works. Are they different from the one's successfully imported? Were they created in a very old version of PS or saved as .psd in another application?
godfrey
Set the Photoshop option and then use "Save As...", not "Save", to create a new file. Photoshop does not apply the maximum compatibility option unless it is creating the file, it seems. I ran into the same thing and using Save As... worked fine.
