minhnguyen9113
Hi Classic cameras forum mates I don't know if I should start this thread, because several people asking mehow to convert a Polaroid 95a to 4x5. My answer is add a sheet metal box housing on it so you can use 4x5 folders, you don't need the graflok back and the 95a is not worth to convert to anexpensive camera, just for fun and show-up. Go ahead and get fun...
glenn_mabbutt
Incidentally, there's an Australian going by the handle of <a href="http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~razzle/Razzle_/razzle_.html">RazzleDog</a> who converts old Polaroid folders to 4x5 with movements, and a Graflok-type back. <p> From his site apparently his Polaroid of choice for the conversions is the 900. <p> Also on his site he mentions any conversion-related patents have been rejected in Australia, so no problems there. patrick j dempsey
On my website I'm currently hosting some information from photo.net with the permission of the OP, Diwan Bhathal: http://www.patrickjdempsey.com/newsite/index.html?experiment/polaroidrollfilm.html http://www.patrickjdempsey.com/newsite/index.html?experiment/diwanpolaroid.html I have planned on editing his exact quotes down into more of a step-by-step process at his request, but I have just not gotten around to it. There's more details to fill out in other parts of the site as well.
cliffmanley
I converted a 250 automatic to 2.25x3.25 for standard double film holders and 6 sheet graphmatic. The lens on the 250 is not changeable without major surgery and won't cover more than maybe 3x4. Not a good candidate for 4x5 I don't think. It makes a good medium format camera, and has the great Zeiss rangefinder. I don't think it's monitarily worth doing anything more to it. You can see it on this page. http://perfectplanes.com/cameras/cameras.html
