imran_ahmed
In my new computer with windows vista I cannot upload images from my 5D. The canon zoom browser (which I got with G9 and whichupdated previous z'browser)says that the camera window is incompatible. I need help rather desperately as there are no Canon centers here
colinsouthern
The best way to transfer images from any camera to any computer is to purchase an inexpensive card reader. It'll save you a "whole lot of heartache" in the long-term.
yat_tang
Have you looked at the Canon web site for Vista updates or vista compatible verions? That's what I would do.
robin_sibson1
As Colin says (and just about everybody else on this forum agrees, an almost unique situation) the best way to download images is with a card reader. But there are other reasons for wanting your camera and computer to talk to one another. Updating your software to current Vista-compatible versions and making sure that you have the appropriate drivers installed is the initial and essential step. Ask again if that does not work. imran_ahmed
Thanks, I have tried the Canon USA and Europe website and downloaded some relevant software but I get the same 'no' response
peter_mckone
The software for EOS cameras is different than the software that probably came with your G9. The software you need should be on a CD that came with your 5D. I think it's called "EOS Utility". DPP should be on that CD too. After everything is installed, you can update it from the Canon web site, if you want to.

Or that they agree with me? ;)
