BrianS1664879711
M is flash synch also, but includes the delay for flash bulbs. V is the self timer. ...
alan_higgins
Hi Brian By delay for flash bulbs do you mean fir use with studio lights. Also, what if studio lights were used with the X feature? Alan
BrianS1664879711
X is for electronic strobe. M is for the old-fashioned flash BULBS. The bulbs have/had wire in them that took a few milliseconds to burn to maximum brightness, hence the delay. ...
Ed_Ingold
The "M" setting fires the flash about 20 msec before the shutter is fully open, to allow the old wire-filled bulbs to reach peak output.
