kenny_c
How about a Canon Extender sized camera back with a sensor, LCD on the rear incorporating live view and dials on the sides for full control? Voila, no more SLR bodies! Possible?
bobatkins
Yes. Desirable? Another story.
PuppyDigs
It's already made and called a point 'n shoot. I see tourists struggling to see their LCD in the blazing sun at Waikiki beach every day. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
j_smith6
Then better look at beautiful views! :) I wish I was there now, not in a cold and cloudy place :/
carlos_miami
A Canon 7s Rangefinder with a full frame sensor.
yakim_peled1
I have no doubt in my mind that the mirror days (years...) are numbered. It simply has no irreplaceable function in a DSLR. It will also simplify the structure, allowing for lighter weight, lower cost and higher FPS. Happy shooting, Yakim.
m_barbu1
How about a sensor that has the same dynamic range as my eyes?
tommyinca
You don't want that camera (same DR as your eye). It may have to (and will) take over you brain :-)
dariusz calkowski
M Barbuphoto.net patron, Feb 07, 2008; 10:12 a.m. How about a sensor that has the same dynamic range as my eyes? That's good ! I'd add zoom 10-1000 f 1.0, light and cheap made from nanotechnologically adaptive nanoglass/metal - like Terminator T-1000 :-)
