keith_lubow
Hello, I have a friend who has tasked me with finding a part for a Mamiya Universal. It is the small pane of glass (about 4x5 cm) that goes over the viewfinder brightening patch, which is located in the front middle of the "head" of the camera. If anyone knows of a good parts source, please tip me off to it. Ideally, there will be a Mamiya Press nut out there working out of his/her garage who knows everything about these cameras and has several parts bodies lying around in their shop. Or, maybe YOU do. I know some people remove the RFs entirely and make zone-focusing flat-top models. I that's you , and you have your old parts, please contact me. I know I can get a piece of glass (or Plexiglas to prevent this from happening again) and cut it, but I want to try finding a direct replacement first. Thanks, Keith
borrel1
Try Tony Sansone <gmhsint@cox.net> (850-863-2972). He the expert and is bound to have the part. - Brre Ludvigsen
wharridge
I had the same problem with a Polaroid 600SE (very similar camera), a local glazier just cut me a replacement piece to fit. ...Wayne
