robbedoes
Another very sharp film: [1] Adox CMS 20. Even an Adox CHS 20 for 8X11 (kb14) at Fotoimpex, I mailed them for a conformation but no answer yet. marcus_michael_dunkmann
For your information: The developers for Rollei ATP 1.1 and Adox CMS 20 are made by SPUR Schain & Partner. Greetings, Marcus
robbedoes
Hi Marcus, Do you know if the Adox kb14 will be continued?
Troll
Martin, I spent lots of time experimenting with different developers for Tech Pan, but was never able to completely whip the extreme contrast problem. In the end, the best developers turned out to be Kodak's Technidal or 2-part Diafine (see my recommendations on The Unblinking Eye massive developer list).<P>Is the Rollei film less contrasty? MTC Photography
Bill, diluted Rodinal Special and <a href="http://www.8x11film.com/spur/navengl.html">SPUR Dokuspeed Professional developer> are good for Technical Pan</a><P>.
marcus_michael_dunkmann
Hi Robert! ADOX KB 14 is a special product for Foto IMPEX Berlin. Please ask Mirko Boeddecker of Foto IMPEX - as far as I know he still has KB14 MINOXfilms. Mailadress: info@fotoimpex.de Marcus
robbedoes
<p>Hi Marcus,</p> <p>I mailed them and Andreas Kottlorz replied: "we don' t know yet, so we try to get new stuff, butt,... maybee you can ask us again in some weeks."</p>
marcus_michael_dunkmann
OK Robert! I also called Mirko and he topld me that theKB 14 is sold out because a customer bought all the rest last week. AFAIK there will not be a next edition of that film. It did not sell very well. We will concentrate on the Ilford Delta 100. Marcus
robbedoes
That's a pitty Marcus. I think they didn't market it very well; found the film by coincidense on their website in a pdf catalog. Maybe you can take over this film :-)
Fotohuis RoVo
The Rollei ATP-V1.1 is indeed less contrasty then the original Kodak Tech Pan film. The last one was even a problem with Rodinal 1+150 which is possible in the lower speed range with this ATP-V1.1 film. Best overall in the lower speed is the RLC developer and in the higher speed (iso 25-40) the SPUR Technospeed, AKA Rollei ATP DC developer. Here an example of the film in RLC (and SPUR Imagespeed), iso 20-25 is the max. you can get with RLC: http://gallery.fotohuisrovo.nl/thumbnails.php?album=13 The overall contrast is not too bad :) http://www.fotohuisrovo.nl/documentatie/Development_Rollei%20films.pdf
