austinphoto
I just purchased and received and have started using the wacomb tablet. In general it is great. However, I hope someone can help me with this problem. I would like to customize one of the buttons on the pen to play an action, since I use action a lot. I am able to customize the buttons to do many things, but cannot customize it to just play the action. Does anyone out there know how to be able to hit one of the buttons and have the action play out. Any help with this problem would greatly be appreciated and make my workload (flow) much smoother and faster. Thanks!
richsimmons
You don't say whether you are using windows or mac, but in windows it's in the control panel, in the mac it's in the system preferences. Either way, the first thing you should see is the pen and the modifier drop down box. use this to change the function of the buttons. But you say you want it to run an action. Do you mean in Photoshop? If so, I'm not sure this would work for that. You can do that with a Shuttle though. But what kind of Wacom do you have? The new Bamboo has assignable buttons on the pad itself that can do what you want I think, I haven't used it. Or the Intuos level pads have them too. You can see the shuttle's here, some pretty cool mice too. http://www.contourdesign.com/index.htm
austinphoto
I am using windows. I can program it through the wacom properties, but I can not program it to run an action in the photoshop actions pallet. I would like one of the buttons on the pen to be programed to be the play button on the bottem of the actions pallet. Thanks,
