Having trouble downloading DPP. Any sugestions?

Hello,

 

My father passed away and I inherited his almost new, practically unused

Macbook. I am familiar with Macs, but this is the first time I have ever owned

one, and also my first laptop of any kind.

 

At any rate, I just began setting up the computer today, so that its software

and basic file structure will mirror my desktop PC. I added several programs

with no problem, but had trouble getting DPP 1 from the Canon Website. (I need

DPP 1 to install any updates.)

 

I had to go into the EOS 1D category to find the download. it was not available

under any of my other cameras. The serial numbers will be coming from either a

10D, a 1D, or a 1D Mk, II N. I got as far as the "I Agree" to the terms and

conditions "button". However, when I click it, the page simply refreshes, and I

go nowhere and download nothing.

 

When I put this program onto my desktop, it was via download, and I had no

problems. I do not have the original disks.

 

Am I doing something wrong?

Are you using Safari? Try turning off the popup blocker. It's under either the File or Safari menus.

Picked up version 3.2.0.4 today (25 meg) Norton did not like me running the file so I had to save it and run it once down loaded.Theo

I believe you have to have a disk-installed version of DPP on the computer before any downloaded updates can be installed.

I know that is not the case, as I have downloaded everything on my PC; original program and updates.

 

Today I was able to get through and get the program. Have not tried to update, though.
