vivek iyer
Thanks for the link mj. The first high ISO shot from Sandro is nice- showcases camera's ability. The rest aren't that stunning. I can't understand why a mountain climber would be lugging a heavy camera to make pictures though.
walterh
Love those pictures, really impressive. Call me skeptic but the motorcycle images are the only ones that require a D3. Good drivers and good brave photographer. A good marketing move. Thanks for the link.
harry_spooner
I just received my D3 this evening along with the 24-70 2.8 and 14-24 2.8. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I can not believe the clarity and lack of noise at the high ISO settings. Looking forward to some of the other more experienced photographers on the forum reporting in. ilkka_nissila
Vivek, what do you mean by "a heavy camera?" Beth wasn't using the D3.
vivek iyer
Not a D3? Yeah, Walter wondering there about the need for a D3 for such shots has merit. After a bit of searching, I find two bodies- a D2Xs and D200 and 3 lenses. Still not very comfortable gear set for climbing rock cliffs with. May be the photog was put on a crane to make the shots. Any camera would have worked fine for that.
