mariom
Hello everyone. I just finished the installation of photoshop CS3. When I open a photo in raw format it takes me to Bridge, the problem is that unlike CS2 the picture does not displays in the thunmbnails. Only the icon showing CR2 appears. So I only see all the icons and file numbers until I open an specific photo. I have the Mark III 1D and I already downloaded the Raw plug-in for this camera. Can anyone help me or explain why this is happening. Thanks.

rnt
And the plugin ends in .8bi ?
rnt
Try putting a copy in \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS3\Plug-Ins and \Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\File Formats to see if that makes a difference.
rnt
Oh yes, if it doesn't work, adobe suggests: NOTE: If generic camera thumbnails appear in Adobe Bridge, follow the these steps: 1. Check to make sure the plug-in was installed in the correct directory in step 4 above. 2. Start Bridge. 3. Choose Tools > Cache > Purge Central Cache. Important: Purging the Central Cache deletes cached thumbnail information for all folders. It also deletes labels, ratings, and rotation settings for read-only files (for example, files on a CD or locked files) or file formats that don't have XMP support. JDMvW
I might also mention that CS3 Bridge also defaults after installation to a display that is not the same as my earlier CS version, or the older Browse function. You need to poke around and customize to get the larger preview display, the EXIF info, etc.
pjmeade
When I had a similar problem with CS2 Bridge, I got round it by purging the cache for the folder. Once that was done the thumbnails could be seen Tools -> Cache -> Purge Cashe for this Folder. Hope this helps. P
