david_garcia10
Hello, Everyone! Just wondering what shoulder strap do you pros use besides the one that came with your camera? I bought the nikon d300 and I'm pretty sure that carrying that thing around all day will get my shoulders tired. Anyway, I found these links: http://www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_product_CrvdCmfrt.php - $25.00 - looks good. http://upstrap-pro.com/ - $32 - more like attachment to the nikon strap. Op/Tech deluxe strap http://www.optechusa.com/product/detail/? PRODUCT_ID=23&PRODUCT_SUB_ID=&CATEGORY_ID=4 Also interested in getting a hand strap- my wrist hurts and I'm just using the computer... Anyway, I'm not sure if I should trust the hand strap thats on ebay. Tempting but I think I'll stay away from those unless someone here have actually used them. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll? from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=nikon+d200+strap&category0= Not sure if these fits the d200/d300: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/194967- REG/Hakuba_KGP01_Camera_Grip_PH.html http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home? Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TCH&Product_Code=OPGRIP&Category_Code=CAS I already bought tamrac 5x velocity bag http://www.tamrac.com/frame_velocity.htm As some of you know I'm just getting my feet wet on wedding photography. Thanks! Best, Chris p.s. found this post just wondering if there are new stuff: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00GPnw
steve_c.5
Chris, the first one from Think Tank has hardware made for bags, not cameras. Scratch that from your list. The others are all fine, it's just a matter of personal feel and taste. As for hand straps, evaluate these carefully. Try before you buy. Stay away from the ones that wrap around your wrist, because they can be cumbersome if you need to free your hand quickly. Others that attach to the upper lug on the right side of your camera can limit your finger angle and reach for functions on the top of your camera. david_garcia10
Hi, Steve! Thanks for the reply. Ic. You got me there. :-) I thought I could use it for the camera as well. Looks pretty nice though. It is kind of hard for me to try the straps without buying them because when I went to ritz in san francisco they don't have that much stuff as well as other ritzcamera store, I'll try the other local camera stores. Thanks for the advice about the hand straps-by the looks of it, it does kind of look bulky.
2yellowdogs
I've tried a few of them, but my favorite is the OpTech pro loop strap. http://optechusa.com/product/detail/?PRODUCT_ID=23 Stays on your shoulder and doesn't cut into you when carrying a heavy camera/lens combination. russ_butner___portland__or
I swear by the UP-Strap. ( http://upstrap-pro.com/ ) Russ
dawn_kelly
The OPTech straps are GREAT. They are extremely comfy and really do make the camera feel lighter since it spreads out weight on your shoulder with a wider strap and has the non-slip neoprene. Hard to beat them. kiva
Up-Strap only if you like the camera staying on your shoulder and not doing the slippery slide when you move. <p> <a href="http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Nikon-AH-4-Leather-Hand-Grip-Review.aspx">NIKON HAND STRAP</a>
